Evergreen, conical shaped tree with dark green, flat, hardened blade like needles approx. 2cm long, new shoots surrounded by green scale leaves,needles set in pairs

Female cones - Approx. 2cm long, round, woody and with red/brown scales, winged seeds.

Male cones - Small, yellowish, round and found in clusters at the tips of leaves

Soft dark brown/red thick bark with fissures running vertically

Height 80m

Spread 10m
