  Quercus robur f. fastigiata                        Cypress Oak                                        

Columnar, deciduous tree with alternate,  round lobed light green leaves on upright branches. Spring/summer produces small male flowers in pendane catkins  and female flowers in singularly or racemes, followed in autumn by small, brown ovoid nuts in cups.

Light grey, scaly bark with slight fissures running vertically.
