  Plantanus x hispanica                                  London Plane                                       

Deciduous, columnar, spreading tree with large, alternate light green, palmate, deeply lobed leaves consisting of 3-5 lobes, turning light/golden brown in autumn. Hairs on underneath of leaf (can cause skin and respiratory irritation). Green/brown round fruit clusters in groups of up to 4 throughout autumn and winter.

Distinctive peeling/flaky, light grey/green scaly bark.
