   Acer saccharinum                                           Silver Maple                                       

Deciduous rounded tree bearing deeply, palmately 5 lobed leaves of bright green with silver/white undersides on pendent branches, turning yellow/orange/red in autumn. produces comrymbs of small green/yellow flowers in spring followed by brown winged fruit.

Bark is grey/green, scaly with deep fissures running vertically.
